unnamed (1)Provincial Health MEC Doctor Sibongiseni Dhlomo has urged the public to be extra cautious around fireworks as they can cause bodily harm, damage to property and are dangerous to animals.

This as today is New Years Eve and people are in a celebratory mood for the new year.

The MEC also pointed out that fireworks are not cheap, and called upon the public to do things differently this time around.

Dhlomo says the money spent on fireworks just to have a spectacle, can certainly be used in a better way, such as to buy school uniforms or pay for school fee.
